Related Resources
Artificial intelligence technologies in Canada are impacted by a web of interrelated governance instruments, many of which are applicable only in certain jurisdictions or with respect to certain sectors or regulated industries. The AccessPrivacy team has prepared the following index setting out AI Laws, Standards and Guidance in Canada, updated regularly to account for new resources.
As these instruments are backed by varying degrees of authority and enforceability, the following index (broken down into jurisdiction-specific and thematic pages) is arranged in order from pure "hard law" instruments (law and regulation) through to non-binding statements issued by non-public organizations. Resources setting out sector- or industry-specific strategy, rather than strict governance, are also included in the index.
The following indices are part of a living document, and we welcome feedback as to the navigability and content of each page.
