Guidance for consumers on video games and privacy was released today by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. The guidance, entitled Gaming Consoles and Personal Information: Playing with Privacy, includes a series of FAQs on online games and privacy, as well as some general comments about video game developers' obligations under Canadian privacy legislation.
